Conceived as a night of work, play and rest across three levels of Altar, NIGHT SHIFT brought together live music, DJs, dance, multimedia works and roving performance. Lane Pitcher led artist logistics, technical coordination, and contractor management, alongside the installation of Hana Shimada’s handcrafted design environment featuring glowing netted DJ booths, seaweed booths and a Himalayan-rock-salt relaxation room. Lane also initiated a partnership between DarkLab and the University of Tasmania, pairing performers with students across the project.
