I’m incredibly grateful to have worked with Lane Pitcher as the dramaturg for The Shell-Angel presented at Soft Centre 2025.
Lane consistently went above and beyond in supporting the development of the work, offering thoughtful movement guidance through detailed breakdowns of the piece’s timeline and structure. She provided invaluable professional consultation, not only on the presentation of my costume, but also on how to move with it in ways that maximised its presence on stage.
She also generously sourced additional staff and collaborators in a timely manner to better support the delivery of the project. Throughout the process, Lane balanced the integrity of the work and its conceptual vision with great care, sensitivity, and professionalism.

Lane was instrumental in the delivery of a number of large-scale and technically complex 3D virtual production environment designs for both Episodic TV and several TVCs. Her skill in managing both the creative delivery and the various stakeholder groups including pre and post-production collaborators required poise, patience and exceptional attention to detail.
The work involved large amounts of remote coordination and planning with the digital artists as well as clear communication between the various production elements to ensure a high level product was delivered. And when the time came to shoot, Lane was on-set to make sure all the elements came together.
Lane thrives in turning chaos into order and relishes the challenge of realising a creative vision. She adds massive value to any production.

During our pre-production phase, Lane's commitment to excellence as Creative Producer / AD truly shone through, especially during our storyboarding sessions. Her keen eye for detail and remarkable skill in creating storyboards and shot lists were instrumental in bringing our vision to life. What set Lane apart was her meticulous approach to planning, as she not only crafted a comprehensive shot list but also compiled checklists for each role on set. This is the reason our shoot day ran as smoothly as possible. Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative nature make her an asset to any project.
